Thanksgiving :) ;; RIP MRS WEEKS <3
Sunday was a very very very sad day for everyone who knew the weeks family. Mrs. Weeks had been sick for a very long time and she had cancer. Their family stayed strong through it all though. Mrs. Weeks passed away on Sunday. :( But it makes us happier to know shes in heaven and she's in a better place and she's healthy. I prayed for her tthrough it all but i guess there was not much anyone could do. I am going to the viewing tommorow all of my friends to support our bestfriend taylor and her family. We loved mrs weeks. She was with he kindest, coolest mom you could ever meet and she loved her children very much. RIP MRS WEEKS<33 So on a happier note we had competitive cheer tryouts around 2 weeks ago and I made JV :) :) woo I love being on the team because its more challenging and I am meetingnew friends. I love my coach too. coach Erin is really nice and she is someone you can just tell anything too and she understands. Our first competition is on December 11th and its a dual meet against southlyon. Too be honest I don't really know who will win but hopefully if we work hard enough we will! !!! So I am really happy today because its the last day of school before we start our thankgiving break and get the rest of the week off! :) I am so ready for it and i need it. MMM just thinking about the food makes me hungry. I can't wait to see my family. Even though most of my family is in georgia or up north i still have other ones :) Also christmas is in 30 DAYSS!!! wooo I love this time of year except for the fact that i for some reason always end up getting really sick. Like last year i had pnemounia. Yeah not so good. Well thats all for now!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING :) :) :)

Chicago Trip - Spring Break '08
Last Spring break, me, my mom, my dad, my sister, and my bff Court went to Chicago. It was an intresting trip. It was a freezing morning at the end of March. We headed to the train station at around 6. We waited about an hour for the train to come in the freezing cold. The train ride to Chicago was about 4 hours long. We spent the time watching movies on our ipods and doing our homework for pre-algebra (i have a good memory) I forgot were we stayed (okay maybe I dont have such a good memory) but it was a small little hotel, right in the center of everything. We went to this one pizza place for lunch. It took forever to get our food. But it was some really good pizza. I remember when waiting to get a table, me and court and my sister walked down to the corner to mcdonalds to get shakes because we were so hungry. This creepy homeless guy was in there just staring at us smiling. It was really scary he started talking to us and we immideitley sprinted out of there and ran for our lives back to the resturant. It was really scary lol. We spent the day walking around Chicago walking in all of the stores and such. I remember the 3-story H&M store. It was HUGE. For dinner I remember going to this old famous italian resturant Rose Buds or something like that. i remember from the last chicago trip that they had really awesome Italian food but it wasnt as good as I remembered it being. My First Chicago trip a few years ago was definitley better then my latest one. It was so much more eventful. I remember going to the Navy Peir being packed and walking. I remember it being a tad warmer then it was. I remember taking the taxi every were we went. I remember going to this super fun lunch place called Edbedevics and having a blast. I remember eating at the most amazing breakfast place ever. I remember running across the street in the rain to the AMC going to see benchwarmers on fathers day. I remember having late night dinners and going to the Hersheys store getting a warm hot chocolate and taking the taxi back to the hotel. I remember the hotel being HUMONGOUS. I remember ordering the best chicken fingers from room service for a late night snack. I remember going to the Shedd aquarium. I remember waking up easter morning in our hotel room looking for easter baskets and going to the most beautiful church for Easter sunday mass. It was nothing I remembered going back this year. It just wasnt the same. I was somewhat dissapointed. Ecspecially since me and my friend Court faught 99.9% of the time. But we are like sisters so its nothing new for us to fight. Chicago will always have a place in my heart but not the Chicago from spring break, but the real Chicago I remember.

HOMECOMING WEEK! :)
So I'm a freshman and I am new to the whole homecoming thing. I have been to all of the past homecoming games since I was in about 4th grade, but this is the first time I will be attending the game as a SHS student and actually cheering in it!!! I am soooooo excited. To get us all pumped we have a spirit week. Yesterday (9/29) was patriotic day. Today is "tacky tuesday". Tommorow is Camo/Jungle fever day, Thursday is career day, and Friday is DOUBLE BLUE AND WHITE day. :) The freshman have a game thursday and we have to cheer. It is their homecoming game and they are playing a really good team. They have not won one game yet this season but we are all hoping they will come back and be on top. Friday is the pep assembley during 6th hour. I get to get out 5th hour also to practice because all the cheerleaders cheer in it! Its going to be really fun. The homecoming game is going to be awesome. They are playing the Novi Wildcats. They are definitley going to win. I am excited to cheer the 1st half of the varsity homecoming game. It should be a great expeirience for me and my team. And most importantly Saturday is the HOMECOMING DANCE! I already got my dress. It is a strapless silver/gray dress with a teal bow that comes around and ties in the back. I just recentley got my shoes that I am in love with. I could just stare at them all day. They have a really high heel and they are silver. I also got a teal clutch to match the teal bow on my dress. I am getting my nails done saturday and me and my friend Carly might go tanning tommorow because we are as pale as ghousts! We are all meeting at my friend Chelseys house to take pictures then we are going to Buca De pepos For dinner then going to the homecoming dance! I am planning on doing my own hair. That should be intresting. I heard it gets incredibley hot and sweaty at the dance. I AM SOOOOOO EXCITTEDDDDD! :) :) :) WOOO GO STEVENSON!

Hello! My name is Allie Cordon. I am 14 years old, Born on April 10th 1994. I am a freshman at Stevenson High School. I am on the freshman cheer team here also. The hours of practicing are crazy but its a fun time with all of my friends and with all the work we do it really pays off! the fresman football team has not won a game yet and they are horrible but hopefully they will turn it all around and win a game :) I love/hate stunting. It is really hard work and takes a lot of strength and concentration. My stunt group consists of 2 bases, a flyer, and a back spot. I am one of the bases. I am also the sub flyer if one of our flyers get hurt and have to sit out a game. I love flying. It takes alot of work to keep your balance. I love being a base and learning new stunts to try with my flyer. My flyer Erin is very light-weighted and flying comes naturally to her. I am the shorter base so my base partner always has to bend down a lot for us to be even because it looks really sloppy in the air when shes uneven. We have our basic elevator cradle, extension, full, sponge, reload, cuppie, mountain climber, baskettoss, and we have been pushing ourselves for over 4 months trying to get our lib when shes balancing on one foot. Cheer is very hard work and exercise. We practice everyday after school for 3 hours doing splits, jumps, cheers&chants, stunting, team bonding, stretches, arm motions, and much much more. Our coach, Blair is really nice and shes a great coach. She really pushes us to get better. You might think cheerleading after school is a complete blow-off activity and we can just fool around and do whatever we want. But you are very wrong. Coach Blair does not let us fool around. If we do something bad or talk or fool around, she makes us run numerous amounts of laps around the upstairs track. 2 miles is usually her cutting us some slack. Our team does a lot of fundraising. Bottle drives, and car washes about every 3 weeks :) We raise a lot of money. We raised enough to pay for all of our 30-dollar poms and half of our warmups. We went to cheer camp in the beggening of July. That was such a stressful 3 days, it was crazy. 2 nights in a non-air conditioned condensed dorm room with 4 people sharing 2 beds. Yeah it was crazy. It was a very christian-orginized camp. We would go to anti-drug and alcohol meetings but it was somewhat fun because they had a DJ and we got up and danced. I completly lost my voice on the final day. Waking up at 6 in the morning and going outside to practice in the chilly morning weather then being outside till around 11 at night practicing was awesome. NOT. But i have to admit that was a truly great experience. Competitive season starts in the begening of November. I am really excited but its going to take a lot of hard work out of our team. I would really like to make the junior varsity competitive team, but im going to have to really work hard and practice and strive to get my backhandspring. I WANT IT SO BAD :) Our team is no longer a team. Its a family <3
